The following are productions that I know of in Eastern Iowa that open from the first of January until the 31 of July.
Anne of Green Gables at the Black Hawk Children's Theatre. January 16-18.
-Bell, Book and Candle at the Waterloo Community Playhouse. February 6-14.
-The Importance of Being Earnest at the Cedar Falls Community Theatre. February 13-22. (Wilde)
-Lost in Younkers at Theatre Cedar Rapids February 13-22 (Neil Simon)
-The Velveteen Rabbit at the Black Hawk Children's Theatre. March 6-8.
-Fences at Theatre Cedar Rapids. March 20-29 (August Wilson)
-Arms and the Man at the Waterloo Community Playhouse. March 27-April 4 (Shaw)
-Rumplestilskin at the Black Hawk Children's Theatre. April 24-26.
-Hair at Theatre Cedar Rapids. May 1-16
-Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime at the Waterloo Community Playhouse. May 15-23 (I might avoid this one because it appears to be a farce, although my mother is planning on auditioning for this so I may end up seeing it)
-Whatever Cedar Falls Community Theatre is doing for their summer musical. June
-High School Musical at the Waterloo Community Playhouse. July (I actually do plan to attend this one)
-Schoolhouse Rock Live at Theatre Cedar Rapids. July 2-12
-Whatever Classics at Brucemore is doing this year. July
-Update: The Laramie Project at the Marshalltown Community Theatre. July 24-26, 31 and August 1. (Not Eastern Iowa, but it does deserve mention)
You know what this means? I'm going to be very busy and theater reviews may have a comeback on here. So, be on the lookout for some reviews next year.
