My sister, a Christian and a Republican, had a discussion with one of her friends, a Christian and a conservative Republican, about gay marriage.
My sister happens to be for gay marriage, her friend is not.
My sister also happens to be a very good debater, unlike me.
Anyway, on Facebook, one of her friends joined a group saying "Protect Marriage". I'm guessing that it was a group saying how "it's only between one man and a woman". My sister then commented that a portion of the pledge of allegiance mentions "with liberty and justice for all." Her friend got on the defensive, and she said "Oh, so it's only for heterosexual, caucasian, males." It then went to discussing the theology of gay marriage, my sister throwing in a line from the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock ("btw, your lipgloss is SO not glossy anymore."), the friend getting confused, my sister giving dictionary definitions (with help from my mom and I), the friend saying that the Bible says it's a sin, my sister making good points with strong arguments, one kid using a frowny face and not explaining why, and basically, my sister pwnd them with her debating skills.
Yes, I just used internet slang. Let's celebrate.
i actually use internet slang,
