NOOOOOOOOOO! and YEEEEEESSSSS!
Pushing Daisies has been cancelled. Along with Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money. While the first one makes me sad (because it, NCIS, The Simpsons, and Desperate Housewives are the only prime time shows on network TV I watch), the other two don't. Mainly because last season Eli Stone seemed like CRAZINESS! SINGING! DANCING! GEORGE MICHAEL!, and this season it seems very somber and serious. And I tried to watch Dirty Sexy Money, but I couldn't get into it. And it has Donald Sutherland. Plus, it apparently got soaped up this season.
What's sad is that Pushing Daisies being cancelled doesn't really surprise me. And I have quite a few reasons for this:
1). It had low ratings. I think that America's Next Top Model had higher ratings on Wednesday. And it's on The CW.
2). ABC really didn't advertise it after the season premiere. Most weeks it just got a little voice over after Eli Stone saying "Don't forget to watch Pushing Daisies tomorrow night at 8/7c on ABC". One week there wasn't even a preview of the episode for next week after the show.
3). It's whimsical and has a unique sense of humour.
I now get to go and bitch about this in the school newspaper.
The positive story is that Arrested Development is getting a movie. Hell yeah.
