I don't believe the majority of australians wish to segregate muslims in australia, even with the media portrayal of them atm. I believe the image of the west vs the arab world (including what the media thinks of people's opinions) is being enflamed by a few but badass events such israel, our own cronulla, etc.

Then again, I may have only spoken to a few people who arn't so keen on the media (don't watch much tv, etc.) Your argument might be more valid. Really good essay though =) Great read. Good luck with your marks lise.
