If my posts were more cohesive, subject lines would be easier.

You know, I have so many tumblrs that I follow bookmarked, it might be more efficient just to get an account...

In other news, because I am apparently a glutton for punishment, I've been running a few quest threads on 4chan. It's tiring as hell; four to six hours of improvised writing without much of a break. You need to be consistent, flexible, and entertaining. Given half a chance, your audience will steer you off-course; sometimes purely benignly, sometimes they're trying to make you crash and burn. It takes nerves of steel.

The first few threads I ran, I actually felt kind of sick when I posted them. But, people like 'em. They follow the twitter account I set up so they know when I'm running, and they thank me at the end of the thread.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. It's like I've adopted an extremely messy puppy who seems to like me but I've seen it tear the fingers off the postman and there's something unstable about the gleam in its eyes. Between that and fanfiction I've been doing zero serious writing lately.

I can't quite bring myself to care all that much. I'm in the reckless end-of-the-holidays period where I feel guilty about nothing because it's all going to be over soon anyway so I live like there's no tomorrow.

Also I'm going to the Byron Bay next week. I hope it doesn't rain all the time. I'd like to go swimming.
