Staying Home

Today was a nice day. I sent foot outside the house once; to sweep the fallen fruit from what I think is a small-leaved fig (okay I have no idea what kind of fig it is. It's definitely a fig, anyway) outside our house off the front path. That huge tree produces a massive amount of small squishy orange fruits, which are totally* inedible, and attract huge numbers of bats and possums who still don't seem to make a dent in the amount of fruit that ends up all over our front yard. Should it rain, this fruit turns into a fermenting sticky mush. I swept the path yesterday, but so much falls in a single day I had to sweep it again today.

Aside from that, I did a small amount of writing (500 words) lifted some weights, played some Persona 4, sat on the balcony trying and failing to draw, ate burritos for lunch, and an espresso milkshake for afternoon tea, and a couple of my players got back to me about their characters.

I feel peaceful. Not hugely productive, but not completely slack either. I'm looking forward to the summer break, which is now only five weeks away.

I started a really excellent Skyrim RP recently, but I haven't heard back from my rp partner in a few days. I really hope it doesn't get abandoned; I was having a lot of fun with the characters and they're an excellent writer.

*You can eat them, as they wouldn't kill you, but you wouldn't want to eat them.
