("...'cause it's hard to tell, it's hard to say 'oh well, okay.'")
I'm having trouble seeing what the point is.
Not helped by the fact that my sociology class (in conjunction with other things) makes me feel helpless.
We are all immature little children.
I will definitely feel better about life after I've had some sleep.
This post just keeps getting longer as I do more soc reading (so that I can get a paper done) and dwell on other thoughts. Right now (4:40 am) I'm reading an article about how the military, specifically the USMC, trains (read: brainwashes) their new recruits, and needless to say, it is not improving my mood, despite how necessary the process may be to maintaining a military.
Also, I hate the author of my textbook, who is also the editor of these readings, because she's full of herself, often joking about what a fantastic sociology professor she is, and she writes as though the college students reading her books are complete morons. Take, for example, this editor's note on the article about the Marines: "Something you might not know if you have no military experience and don't watch war movies or attend the ballet [or live under a rock --EJ.] is that the word corps is pronounced 'core.' --Ed."
