Dear Dan,

Thank you for being honest, vulnerable, kind, and caring!!! It's refreshing to read your livejournal and hear such a real person behind the words.

It is such a pleasure to know you. You enrich the world you are a part of.

Dan- this is Madelyn from Highland. I guess we're aquaintances more than anything. I just wanted to write that I'm glad you mentioned Neal-- I never knew him well and my most vivid memory of him is from Dr. Burns's 8th grade physics class, when Erin Fury would always make fun of him (in a nice way). It is especially weird because I'm good friends with his brother now, and more than ever I wish I had known Neal! He was The Ultra, and, from what I hear, very modest too.

Anyway, have a good year at Standford. (Anne Zhuang goes there! We were the best of friends in 4th grade. Tell her Madelyn says hi, even though she won't remember me!)
