Yesterday was AWESOME. Here's what I did, in one day:
-Got up at 7:30
-Showered (first time!)
-Went to 2 Hum Bio lectures
-Went to Spanish class, where I did an oral presentation
-Ate lunch, read the NY Times
-Took a quick nap
-Read like 80 pages of dense social theory/philosophy of science
-Got a haircut
-Went to the post office and ATM
-Went to psych research fair to look into doing research in the psych dept. this year
-Played ultimate frisbee for an hour and a half
-Showered (2nd time!)
-Ate dessert for dinner - two kinds of cobbler, and nothing else, because (see below)
-Watched part of the Cheney/Edwards debate
-Socialized a bit
-Went out to dinner with Mixed Co, supposedly to be followed by our "first rehearsal"
-Wondered where we were going when we got on the freeway at 10:30 pm instead of heading back to campus
-Hung out with Mixed Co at the beach at Half Moon Bay, where we did introductions etc, sang a bit, and jumped in the water
-Got back to campus at 1:30-ish, walked across campus back to Toyon
-Showered (third and last time!)
-SLEEP.
How's that for a productive day? If I could get that much done every day, I'd already have like, you know, brought down Western Civilization by now. And still made it home for dinner.
Pacific Ocean beaches at midnight in the fog are just beautiful. I still don't think it beats Lake Superior, though. Nothing does.
Tomorrow/Saturday is the Mixed Co fall retreat up at Point Reyes (on the coast an hour or two north of here). Should be a lot of fun. Then presumably starting next week we'll have actual rehearsals. And actually, you know, sing. Well, we do that already, but sing well. Or, you know, try to.
