(no subject)
So yeah, school is blah. I swear my bookbag weighs at least 30 pounds! It has to. It hurts so bad to walk from place to place with that big thing on your back. Man...When we all graduate, we're all going to be hunchbacks b/c we have to bend over to keep from falling over backwards! Ugh!
This afternoon some people from band went up to Best Western b/c people are staying there from the hurricane. We brought foods and such. We played games with some of the little kids, sang happy birthday to a girl, and just hung out. It was fun (but hotttt!) The people really appreciated it. I just wish I could do more. I was talking to one lady that said all the schools in her area were gone, her house too. And that she was supposed to have surgery, but she had to leave, so she never got it done or something, so she's having to go to Tupelo tomorrow to see if they can do something about it. And she has to go to the insurance place to see if she can get a home to stay in. She said it would be some months before they could go back! I told her I don't see how they deal with that feeling that everything's gone. She said it was tough. I told her that we were all praying for everyone. She was very thankful and gave me a hug! I can't even image EVERYTHING being gone. I don't even want to imagine that. Whoa....
Our JR.ROTC is doing a clothes drive. So if anyone has any clothes that don't fit anymore, or just don't want. I'll take them up there for ya if you'd like to donate them to the hurricane victims.
