Some things that I would like to do:
- Tell you how I feel since getting back from France.
- Write lots of posts about all the wonderful insights I received into my family while in France.
- Write all my insights about how overloaded I feel by finding long-lost acquaintances and friends on Facebook.com and myspace.com. (Friending sprees are extremely dangerous to one's mental health and perspective on one's past.)
- Write all my panic about moving and starting a new chapter of my life on Saturday.
- Write about my New York angst.
- Write about what's been going on in the Legislature based on the 7 hours that I've been back at work.
What I will do instead:
- Run across Boston Common at 5:10 p.m. screaming "WE'LL SEE HOW BRAVE YOU ARE!!"; reject reality; bang on the piano.
- Vanish into the
wallpaper. Question: If you had to walk up to me right now and scream something random in my face, what would it be?
Emily
P.S. In case this explains things, please observe this conversation had with a gentleman on the Amtrak train yesterday.
[EMILY reaches up to retrieve her very heavy suitcase from the overhead train compartment.]
GENTLEMAN: Can I help you with that?
EMILY: That's all right, thank you. I am very mighty.
