Pierced Brow by ~

deviantART I've been glaring at more pictures of piercings lately than I care to admit. Especially of various body parts that are usually sun-untouched. The featured picture is actually what I want, like exactly. Same place, same piece. Except maybe, like, shinier. I'm reluctant to ask the managers at my job about piercing policies. I have an idea what their response will be and it makes me hesitant, haha. I've been meaning to write about this place too. It's a funny place to work. Funny as in amusing and funny as in strange. Speaking of funny as in strange... a friend of mine posted something online that sounded so strange to me I had to laugh. It was about the service industry and how they don't get much respect... or at least that's what I suppose the point was. The majority of it actually read like... I don't know, like some kind of critique about technology use. The funniest part to me was near the end:So what I find so interesting, is that the bar world is and always will be a part of life and culture. But that technology won't. This age of Aquarius WILL come to an end. A flash drive is not fire or the wheel, it isn't necessary for the lives of humans. It's a commodity.
Uuummm, okay. I'll skip over the amusing aspect of her using her examples of "technology" (LJ & MySpace; really not the best examples, sorry) in order to put this opinion out for the world, and just say... no, not really. We can start with the service industry itself
using technology to evolve and go straight into
actual technological progression and see plainly, not accounting for any nuclear device usage by world governments, "technology" isn't going anywhere.
Also,
Jean Grae is still fucking amazing. Like whoa.
