Poll Questions completely unrelated to each other... {6:53pm edit}
Q1:"Threesomes are undoubtedly the new 'Holy Grail' of sex," says Vicki Vantoch, author of The Threesome Handbook: A Practical Guide to Sleeping with Three (Thunder's Mouth Press). "A recent ABC poll ranked threesomes as the most popular fantasy in America." (Outside of America the most popular fantasy begins with the engines falling off of Air Force One.)

Whaa? To quote one of my favorite MCs, "No idea's original, there's nothing new under the sun." I wasn't aware there could be a 'new' Holy Grail of sex, let alone have it be something that's been done for the past couple of thousand years. There are preserved pieces of erotic art three or four times as old as The United States that depict sexual intercourse by 3 or more people. I'll admit the thought is interesting, but it ain't new. Anyway... interesting poll results. What I'm curious about is how many of those folks who've considered it (and perhaps still are) did so with their ultimate partner in mind. Like, was the thought of this adventure on the way to your ultimate goal of monogamy or did the thought include the person you may have thought you'd spend your old age with. I find most people engage in the former thinking.
Q2:
Question two was inspired by this week's Law and Order. A normally non-violent yet schizophrenic man ends up raping and beating three girls ages 10 and 11. The NY DA's office wants to try him but the FBI wants to extradite him to another state so that he can be tried. Why extradite? New York no longer has the death penalty.
I should've put in another question but it would have called for me to explain the premise beforehand and I didn't have time. On the show the rapist was obviously mentally ill but only when off his medication. Unfortunately he chose to not take it, because of the side affects, and then his psychosis took over and he hurt 3 children. My question would've been, "In your eyes, is he guilty?" Is it his fault or that of his illness? Personally I feel if you choose to stop self-medicating, you're responsible for the outcome. That's an easy stance to take, though, for someone who doesn't have to deal with such a choice.
I am definitely anti-capital punishment though. Yea, I do believe it may stop some people from committing violent crimes... but executing one innocent person counteracts any good that could ever come from it.
Q3:
I've taken up having a protein shake every morning as a breakfast substitute. Previously breakfast was only for those who didn't live 2 trains and a bus away from work. Heh. I've noticed a big difference, though, since beginning to fill up before leaving the house. I like being full. My stomach doesn't yell at me as much too.
