Y'know I really wanted to like Cane. "Even if CBS managed to do an entire drama about Cubans without breaking their
status quo it'd be nice to see a program on prime time with spanish dialog," I thought. Well, it would have, but the show (at least the first episode) just seemed really poorly produced. I couldn't tell if it was supposed to remind me of a Spanish novella, but it did, and not in a good way. Poorly done scene transitions, emotional cues that seemed botched (I expected more from Jimmy Smits), predictable at many, many points. Meh. I'll watch the next two or three episodes before I start knocking it in public.
I have to admit, however, when the party scene began with Brujeria I got pretty damn happy, LOL. Songs that remind me of being in my dad's house during his many get-togethers always put me in a happy place....
Yeeeaaaaa buddy. I need to start hanging out in my uncle's bar.
