Here’s a few cool book and magazine related tidbits I thought I’d share.
The good news is that Cheryl Morgan has just re-opened
Wizard’s Tower books. Not only is the site easy to navigate and even easier to look at, Cheryl has also launched a new book by
Juliet E McKenna, A Few Further Tales of Einarinn (and for less than three quid). There’s also a growing library of top quality books, short story collections, novellas and magazines by a host of talented writers and publishers. A browse of the store is well worth your time and money.
If you’ve got a hankering for crime short fiction, Jeremiah Tolbert has launched a new bi-monthly web-magazine
The Big Click. The fact that they have a Ken Bruen story in their opening issue should be reason enough to buy issue 1 (and it’s only $3).
Finally, it was Rose Fox’s Genreville blog that pointed me to this fascinating Kickstarter project.
Save the Sci-Fi is a project looking to publish out of print SF novels in electronic and hard copy formats. I’ve pledged $25 or more which gives you access to all their downloads for life. The Kickstarter is over subscribed so the project is a definite goer. It will be fascinating to see what books they choose to dust off and re-publish for a new audience.
Enjoy!
