I should read more titles than the ones I'm reading now. If half of what I read is either boring or plain sucky it's just not right. I need to expand my horizon...
Amazons Attack #2. Not pretty. Just... no.
- More homicidal amazons, woo.
- I'm not really liking the art, the faces look weird, blank.
- "Attack is not our first priority. Rescue is." Uh, hello? If you'd start fighting the homicidal maniacs it might be just a wee bit more helpful than letting them rampage and just cleaning after them.
- Why do they insist on changing the layout of the scenes already shown elsewhere? The two Sarge Steels bit doesn't look like the one I just read last week in WW #9. Wish they were a bit more aware of what people on the other book do.
- Cool, finally Donna arrives. But it's all stupid.
- Great, Artemis and Phillipus. I used to think these two had brains. But they're questioning the war just now? And give up pretty easily. And then they give the impression that the war actually made sense at some point. Wish they'd explain that to the readers too. Whatever. I'm so going to hate this series for destroying the amazons.
- And why again when Wonder Woman (finally) appears she seems so oddly cheerful? Like it's not really affecting her much that her people are killing "her people".
- Uh... did WW just turn into Supes?? One panel WW is with Batman, the next it's Supes with Batman. This comic is so confusing...
Ok, so it sucks big time. I know I shouldn't even read this but I have to because I love Wonder Woman and the amazons and I just really need to know what the hell they're doing to them. Damn you, DC. This is so beyond bad it's not even funny. Why couldn't you just let Greg Rucka keep them? I'm beginning to fear that even Gail won't be able to save them anymore after this.
Countdown #48. Hmmm. Why was I so excited about the first issue but each after that has been blah? It's just not working for me. Only thing mildly interesting in this issue was Donna and Jason. But I don't really care that much about any of the characters. And Stretchy/Superspeed Jimmy the Hero just made me annoyed which means I won't be liking him much. Damn, I'm starting to miss 52...
So this was all so depressing that I decided to cheer myself up with some Batman comedy. These are from a funny comic online called Shortpacked!
I'm Batman.Batman is comedy gold. He can make anything funny.Best at everything. Hilarious. I feel so much better now.
(I actually wrote this thing during the weekend already but couldn't post it, again. Apparently firefox and livejournal don't always like each other. Have to try some other browser.)
