X-Files: I Want To Believe

Yeah, I wanted to believe, and I did. I believed they'd be able to make a good X-Files movie after 6 years. But I was wrong.

One psychic, Mulder and Scully does not X-Files make. At least not very interesting. Watching Mulder and Scully at a diner ordering fries would've been so much more interesting than this shit. I have no clue what they were ( Read more... )

Yeah, you could be right about the closure, though the message I got from the movie was that although they were together and loved each other they could never last. And that bummed me out. And the god stuff? Yeah, it was always a part of Scully but I never cared much about those stories so maybe that's why I'm disappointed they focused so much on it. I wasn't expecting closure, I was expecting an entertaining movie. And it didn't deliver.

But enough about that. Thank you! :-D And you'll have a fic for me too? Woo! That's just too cool. I can't wait! Or can but... you know :-P

The X-Files left me cold around the 3rd or 4th season and I thought the first movie was meh, so I wouldn't go and see it even if I didn't hear people complaining about it all over the place.

But anyway: Happy Birthday to you!

Well I did enjoy X-Files a bit longer than that but this movie wasn't really worth much.

And thank you! :-D

Happy Birthday!!

Well, you know we're in perfect agreement on this. And the best thing I'd probably say about those almost two-hours of the so-called X-Fs movie is that I was grateful when Skinner finally arrived on the scene. That little bit was the closest it came to feeling familiar.

But did you watch it all the way through the credits? Because there's a Mulder & Scully bit after the credits.

Thank you! :-D

Yeah, it really was nice to see Skinner there. I was already getting worried he wouldn't appear until he popped there at the end. And no, I didn't catch the bit after the credits. Maybe you could tell me what happened in it...? ;-)

Aw. I haven't seen it yet but I was hoping it was going to be good. I did hear that the only paranormal thing was the priest who could "see" things.

I'm just going to watch for the Mulder/Scully moments and just block out all the rest. I guess I'm a bad phile.

I think it's good to just focus on the Mulder/Scully moments, saves a bit from the horror of the rest of it. And I'm pretty sure it doesn't make you a bad phile. Even fans have their limits...
