name that fish

A couple of weeks ago, I spotted this giant fish swimming near the surface of a tributary of the River Lea at Three Mills. I have no idea what kind of fish it is, but it was almost as long as my arm, and swam near the surface of the river for about two minutes.



Can anyone here identify it?
