I can't believe Scrubs wasn't nominated.  :(   I think it's the funniest sitcom currently on the air.  I would say funniest show, but that title might belong to House.  I've tried watching The Office and I don't think it's funny at all.  I don't understand The Office love, imo the show is overrated.

Very happy  that House and Hugh Laurie are nominated!  :)  Often it seems like the shows I watch aren't nominated so it makes me happy when they are.  I wish some of the supporting cast could have been nominated too though, like Jesse Spencer and Lisa Edelstein especially.  It seems to me like they are always nominating every single Grey's Anatomy star, why not spread the love a little?

I will never understand how shows like Desperate Housewives and Monk get nominated in the comedy category.  IMO it is very unfair that they get to go up against half hour sitcoms.

Another show that gets a lot of love that absolutely baffles me is Boston Legal.  Now I have never actually watched the show so normally I would have no right to judge, but I was a huge fan of The Practice, which BL is technically a spin-off of.  The last season of The Practice when they fired half the original cast and brought in James Spader was unwatchable.  His character was soooooo slimy and offputting, now yes he often ended up doing nice things, but his character would have been disbarred every single episode.  And when it was clear The Practice was going to be cancelled and Spader was getting a spin off, they brought in William Shatner who was equally grating.  Unless they've undergone 180 personality changes, I don't understand how these two and the show are constantly being nominated and winning awards.  Makes me think the judges are on crack.

Can't comment on FNL being left off, I have no interest in a show about football.

I've never watched Heroes either, but the previews always look so tacky, it seems like this show only gets nominated because it's popular.

Finally, in the made for tv movie category, as much as I LOVE Matthew Perry, I really didn't think The Ron Clark Story was all that.  It was ok, he did a good job with the material, but I don't think he has any chance of winning.  Although considering Tom Selleck is also nominated in this category, it would be very nice to see Perry win, it would be like Chandler finally getting his chance to hit the tree from the back with a stick.  :)  Although Chandler did get the girl.  :)
