Random Beltane Thoughts
**It feels good to be warm!! Despite a low-grade fever and a minor case of hypothermia, Beltane was wonderful. It was wonderful to catch up with loved ones that I don't see nearly as often as I wish I could. I saw Chuck and Katherine and Joe Z. which I didn't expect and that was awesome. I shared in the Middle Pillar ritual with them. I had done it once before a long time ago and it was very powerful. When we got to the heart sefara (chakra) I got a little nauseous which may mean I have some sort of blockage there (metaphysical or otherwise). Well, it's no secret I've been stressed. The whole job search process has been taxing. But it was nice to forget about that for a while with family.
**I joined Mowgli and Heather for a conversation about magical traditions and I told her a bit about Braided Wheel. It got me thinking that since I'm back in the US, I'd like to pursue my studies in the tradition, or at the very least have a first degree. I don't belong to a coven, though sometimes I wish I did. I've enjoyed being (as Barb used to say) solitary but social. I think it's been easier to enjoy that social aspect because of Braided Wheel, it's a teaching tradition and there's a lot of other Braided Wheelers around me.
**I need to make a point of getting up to see Barb more than twice a year. I have no excuses now, really, since I live here. No more running back to China every 3 months.
**Tracy, Laurel, Barb and Kaaren seem to get more beautiful every time I see them. Pagan/Wiccan women have such a brilliance about them. I'm convinced Heather Y. just doesn't age, she's looked exactly the same since the day I met her. It was great seeing Alex and Scienni. Alex is a fantastic cook and not a bad plumber. Yay showers! Mowg spent most of the weekend in a bra; and not just a bra but a really pretty bra! She's the underwire of my spiritual bra and always has a way of lifting my spirits. Heather B. is a hoot, it was so nice meeting here, hope to see her again. It was nice getting to spend quality time with the Suprinas, what a great family. Love them. Was wonderful seeing Josh again, and meeting his awesome sisters.
**All around it was just great being with the family again. I missed Zadhe'though. Anyhow, I'm still basking in Beltane afterglow and enjoying that. Think I'll go take a long hot shower now :).
