We finished the outside holiday decorations. The tree is well secured and now holds three strings of lights: two C9 and one mini. The deer were not affected by the blustery weather.

Sophie can be seen in the front window, eyes aglow!
The mantle has also been completed. Each year it’s done a bit differently; this year there are a lot of snowmen!
This was taken Sunday. We had a nice fire going all day. The flame was not going up the chimney, btw: the higher flame was something the camera added.
Today I went through my wood rack and cleaned out mouse nests, bugs, and decayed bark. The wood is well, well seasoned, most having been cut, split, and stacked a few years ago (2017, we haven’t used the fireplace all that much). It burns quick, and I may spend tomorrow cutting, splitting, and stacking more. I choose downed limbs and trees that don’t need to sit for a year (season more) before burning.
I moved the trail cam yet again, to a path I found in the overgrown side yard.
Cute little fellow.
