After binging “Beastars” to the end I found myself in need of a TV fix. I tried several old westerns, none of which worked out, and then explored some cartoons.
“Tom and Jerry” - The movie is on HBO for a few more days. Unimpressive, to me; I did not get far. I finally settled for watching classic Tom&Jerry cartoons.
“Soul” - I’d forgotten I started this until sabotlours brought it up. I really enjoyed the storyline and the animation.
“Sonic the Hedgehog” - I watched this one last night and it really surprised me. Ben Schwartz’s voicing of Sonic was incredible. James Marsden (think “Hop”) did a great job as the guy trying to help Sonic- like Steve in “Blue’s Clues” this guy really made you feel like he was interacting with his CGI co-star... like he (not Steve) did in “Hop” as well. And I really dislike Jim Carrey, probably because he plays people-you-want-to-hate so well, and I FFW’d through his solo scene, but I suppose he did okay as well.
Still on Sonic- I’ve never played the video game and only watched a couple of the dreadful cartoons, back in his heyday, so I was impressed with the storyline here and how this movie unfolded.
