Booky Booky Booky!

Okay, so that's not precisely the most literate subject for the topic, but hey... it's monday.

A Scattershot of all the books in progress or just finished.

Julia Quinn, _What Happens In London_  - nice light romance, with a good twist to keep it interesting.

Erma Bombeck, _Motherhood: The Second Oldest Profession_  - Amazing Erma...solace of mothers everywhere   "No you're not crazy, everyone's kids are like that too."

Henry Beard, _Extreme Latin_  Interesting book, I love some of the phrases that he chose to translate, though I wonder at the accuracy.

Ray Daniels, _Designing Great Beers_ - this is a fun one, it's neat to learn a bit more about how beers are constructed.

Antje Gillingham, _Knitting More Circles Around Socks_ -  TOE UP SOCKS ON TWO NEEDLES ROCK!   Really, I've finished three pair in the last two months and I may never knit from the cuff down again.  I knit half a pair of kid socks yesterday by this method... it's so much easier to progress from the to to the leg and not have to worry about how much yarn is left!

I'm also reading a Meterology textbook, and an American History book as well right now, but I don't have them handy to note title and Author.

I haven't had this many books in progress since Grade school, when I kept them stashed everywhere to compenstate for having them taken away, for reading while I was supposed to be doing something else.

Finally in cool used bookstore scores, the husband picked up a copy of the Condensed OED with magnifying glass still in the drawer in the slipcase last weekend.  I can't wait to find a spot to put it so we can actually USE it.    Our own OED...
