So here's how things went down: I was worried that Gamestop wouldn't have stocked correctly and I'd be cheated out of my Collector's Edition. At the same time, I still want to multiplayer. So I picked up ME3 after work yesterday. It was the longest shift yet. But once I knew I was gonna have it THAT DAY..... Well, waiting for a full weekend or to finish Elise didn't matter so much anymore.
I wanted to play. So I pulled up Adrian's import and she looked... Derp. Wrong. Pulled up her reverse-engineered ME1 facecode and split the difference. And she may not be GORGEOUS, but she's a good looking girl. (I hadn't seen her in over a year OMFG.) Pics to follow... Eventually.
I got as far as the first time you get to walk freely around your ship.
There was something unsettling about this... It was the first time winning free reign of the Normandy felt... Empty. Adrian up and told Kaidan on Mars that what they had is in the past. (I'm proud of her~ <3) But... Now... With him still being out, she's telling him how she still needs him. Half hoping he hears her, I think.
At the same time, she's busy making Vega blush. (Couldn't help it. She'd been eyeing that the whole time she was grounded. And I want them to have shared a drunken night of bar hookup while Earthbound, in my own headcanon.) I mean, LOOK at him, he's BEEFCAKE.
Anywho. I have lots of feelings towards the plot, so far, and a lot of anticipation for seeing my favorite characters and a lot of intrigue. But mostly this:
I think multiplayer and whatnot counts toward your galactic readiness automatically. Damn it, I might have to run Chuck first. -____________-;
EDIT: Okay, turns out that multiplayer bonuses decay with realtime... so... double-edged sword, here. I can just put the game down for, say, two months after I get my important Shepards all through, and then run Chuck with the handicaps.
That does seem to imply, though, that if you have a save near the end of the game that used the multiplayer crutch and got a perfect ending, if you wanted to replay the end two months later the way you saw it before, you'd have to do a bunch of multiplayer grinding, first... hmm... not sure if want...
