Ayaami Mahariel: Beyond the Circle

Jan 02, 2011 07:26

First things first, I named her wolf.

Everyone welcome Fen'hahren Then Mana'inan [ FEHN-hah-REHN   THEHN   MAH-nah-ee-NAHN ].

For the sane people in this world, that translates roughly to "Elder Wolf with Watchful Eyes of the Distant Past"

Second, we went through the Tower. Who's surprised that my Archery-built ranger had to hax through the fade? Nobody? OH HUZZAH. Apparently you're not allowed to summon in the fade. Shame, I was counting on Fen`hahren to get me through that.

Ayaami still knows NOTHING about humans. It's kinda adorable. And it's kinda silly how she went from "SHEM IN OUR FOREST LET'S KILL THEM TAMLEN" to "WTF CULLEN DON'T KILL THE MAGES. There's a CHANCE they're not all evil." But I digress.

Straight off, Ayaami was good with the idea of helping the mages if there was anyone left to help. She took Wynne along after getting into an argument with Morrigan, and Wynne's already become a great influence on her. A kind of backup conscious. Something about Wynne being there, I dunno, seems to make Ayaami more forgiving and accepting or something. A kind of a "don't disappoint mommy" effect... which is odd.

So. Like I said, Fade was bad times. I'd seen all of today's fade nightmares. Things went by without a hitch once I got to the haxxing. Because seriously, if this guy can drain my life faster than I can take his away, I'm calling bullshits. And I don't fight impossible battles. Maybe if I'd had a WOLF. -_____-;

AGAIN, DIGRESSION. Uldred? Piece of fucking CAKE. Wynne, you make an awesome healbot. ♥ I had a nice discussion with Cullen about how the mages might still be okay. And another nice little chat with the desire demon ensnaring that one templar, and with nightmare!Alistair and with nightmare!Wynne and... holy god, Ayaami, stop trying to logic everyone, sometimes you just need to be BLUNT, woman! :x

Now I'm back at camp. And chatting with people. And naming a wolf. And I have this lovely mental image, now, where Alistair's like, "WTF is this thing's name? You've called it fifty different things and I don't understand most of them! But I think Lethullen means dog or something? 'Cause you've called this one and your Tamlen that one." At which point she laughs and calls him a shem fool and, in response to a new round of pouting and/or self-directed jokes, explains his name and tells Alistair he can just call the wolf gramps. Or something.

(For the record, Ayaami calls the wolf:
Lethallan
Falon
Fen'hahren
Hahren'inan
Mana'inan
Hahren'falon
Then'inan
Then'Mamae
Ash'aravelI dunno. Elf colloquial*
Friend
Elder Wolf
Elder Soul
Long-ago Soul
Old Friend
Watchful Eyes
Watchful Mother
Lady of the Long JourneyOld Girl
Fen'harel
Night Guardian
Tamlen's playmate
(but only once)And other things, too, I'm sure. So, can't blame Alistair for getting confused, now, can we?)

* Apparently, supposedly, Lethallin = boys. Lethallan = girls. Either that or it's some silly jibberish Tamlen made up, which would fit too well, anyway. Or someone added it to the wiki just to mess with me.

So. Best I see to that whole "camp" thing. I think it's time to pick the next quest. Dalish camp needs to be late in game, and Orzammar's too damn difficult right now, so... maaaybeeee... I guess it's to Redcliffe after all...? Or I could go grab a Shale... or... go back to Ostagar...? Something.

Also? Shitgaiz. WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO ABOUT ZEVRAN?! Mrs. "Let's Kill All The Shems" doesn't have a problem killing. And he attacked her. And he's being a glib smartass about it! And I think she's far enough past the Dalish superiority complex of hers that saying "oh he's an elf she's gonna bond with him" is a SHITTY EXCUSE TO SPARE THE BITCH. BUT. I DON'T KNOW HOW. TO KILL. ZEVRAN. MY HEART ACHES WHEN I CONSIDER IT. Fuck, Kaelen, you BROKE MY BRAIN.

Right. Sleep is good. Yup.
