Today, I got a job, albeit a temp job, starting Monday. Evening shift. Which means 4pm-3am, more or less, counting driving time. Mon-Thurs, she said, as a general rule. So... hooray for that, despite the knots tying in my stomach.
But the real overwhelming joy is that I think I might be able to force this Horrible costume together in time for Halloween without cutting too many corners, even if I won't have much opportunity to show it off. See...

Goggles which would need to be painted, scuffed, and re-strapped with a better elastic, which I have yet to find.

Gloves which only need the logo scuffed off or painted over.
∙ The khakis I'm wearing right now, the rubber boots I have and would just need to paint white. The coat, well, finally I found ALMOST what I needed. Here. At home. My mom had something close enough to use as a pattern. As in, it had a weird tuck at the top of the front, clearly made for a girl, and isn't long enough in the body or the arms. But hey, I don't need it to be! Hehehe~
Tomorrow my mom needs to go to the city for shopping. I'm going with. My checklist? Silver and white spray paint, white twill fabric, and the right kind of buttons. Got plenty of white thread here. And I should make sure we have a course-grain sandpaper. And if I can find the elastic strap for the goggles, that would be good, too...
