Similac Recall
My friend Corrin who gave birth to twins right down the hall from me sent me a text tonight. She wanted to know if I was formula feeding yet. I told her no, still breastfeeding. She said there was a huge recall on Similac formula because it contains insect parts and beetle larvae. Yikes. That is disgusting!
I asked her if she was still breastfeeding. She is giving up on it as of tonight. Both twins want at least 4 ounces at a time and she is only getting 1 ounce out of each breast. I asked if she worked with a lactation consultant. She said that she worked with one religiously but still couldn't do it. It makes me sad but I know she tried EVERYTHING she could.
For those of you on my list who are using formula or know anyone who is, tell them to check their Similac lot numbers (if they're using it).
