Woo!

from washblade.com:
"Dish was lucky enough to get an advance copy of “Want One,” the new CD by gay singer, songwriter and diva RUFUS WAINWRIGHT. It is to be released to the public on Sept. 23.

Less pop-driven than his 2001 release, “Poses,” Wainwright is still turning out the melodic, classically infused pieces that made him one of the best and most innovative songwriters of the new millennium.

On “Vibrate,” a somber love song backed by strings, Wainwright croons: “My phone’s on vibrate for you.” A postmodern Valentine if Dish ever heard one."

Ooh, I can't wait.

Last weeks Entertainment Weekly had the Fab Five on the cover! And it had a nice little article about QEftSG and I especially loved this quote from Kyan: "If gay people decide that they can't be flamboyant and funny because straight people aren't going to like it, then what's the point? Either way, we're not allowed to be ourselves. I want to be gay on my own terms." Very well put.

Have been watching Dead Like Me, which is really quite good. I'd been hearing a lot of comparisons to Six Feet Under, because they both deal with death, but I don't think they're really all that similar. The show is about a girl named George who dies in the first episode and has to become a Grim Reaper. It's funny and touching and I really wish I had Showtime because otherwise I have to wait to get every episode from Kazaa. There are definitely some plot holes and stuff, but they don't take away from my enjoyment of the show. (Plus, Callum Blue? Is really cute.)
