It's official. I've graduated with my Master's degree in Library Science. I discussed it on Twitter because I'm far more active on that platform, but there you have it. I'm waiting for the physical degree to be in my hands now, but my anxiety regarding whether or not it was real has passed. Mostly. There's some residual just because I haven't seen it in print, on the fancy diploma paper with all the signatures and the honors. Which, by my estimations, it will say "summa cum laude" underneath my degree and can I just say I'm really damn proud of myself for that? I mean, I barely scraped by with a 3.91 GPA, but still. Either way, I have my master's and that's what's important. I'm going to ignore the looming student loan debt for a moment to bask in that glory.
That being said, I haven't really done much of what I wanted to do since graduating and that's write more. I've done one thing that I've posted and I'm slowly handwriting in this little Moleskine journal I have, but I haven't really sat down and wrote any thing. I scrapped all of my WIPs except two (All Unquiet Things and Kingdom of Rust) and I looked over my prompts so many times, but ...nothing came to me. No inspiration, no ideas, no nothing. I didn't write much of anything the last semester, so I think I got out of practice. (Though I did manage to keep track of multiple RP muses and all their drama...) Fiction just seems to be a different beast all together.
Instead of writing, I did catch up on all of last season's anime. If you haven't watched Kyoukai no Kanata, you really need to. Desperately need to. I cried. As I grow older (so old), I find that I'm even more particular about what I watch. Granted, I am still watching Kuroko no Basket, so I'm not completely forgetting my insane love of sports anime/manga. (Though, no baseball shows. I don't much like baseball and I'm kind of meh on the bicycle and volleyball animes.) I also managed to catch up on all of my American TV while simultaneously adding more to my J-drama list and not watching any of it.
I also decided to dust off my Hello Kitty sewing machine (I know, you're jealous) and attempt the craft of sewing once again. I can't stitch in a straight line to save my life, but I did manage to knock out two king-size pillow cases on Sunday that are mega adorable. They were having some sales at Hobby Lobby & Jo-Ann's, so I picked up some adorable fabrics. I have NO idea what I'm going to make yet, but I'm looking at tutorials for useful things like coin purses, crossbody bags, and e-device holders.
Eh, it feels weird, lately. Just in a general manner of speaking. Maybe I'll figure out what it is soon.
