Your main fandom of the year?
Prince of Tennis. As usual. I honestly don't think it could be anything else. Ever. In all of time. (Unless Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out, then I will be sucked into that hardcore.)
Your favorite book read this year?
It's probably a tie between "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern and "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green. The former was just absolutely breathtaking. The imagery, in particular, was fantastic and the way it bounced around in time just kept me hooked. The latter, a young adult novel, I literally read in a few short hours because I. could. not. put. it. down. I cried, horribly, but it was amazing. It was ugly crying too. Really though, heartwrenching.
Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
Ffff. Threeway tie, between Snow Patrol's "Fallen Empires," BIGBANG's "Still Alive (Deluxe)," and Shirota Yu's "UNO." I honestly love every track on all three albums. Those are the three albums that rotate play in my car; the fourth being My Chemical Romance's "Danger Days." Excellent albums all around.
Your favorite TV show of the year?
Community. Hands down. I've watched every season (there are 3 out now) three times and I've just started rewatch number 4. I love it so much. It's hilarious. I just kind of love everything about it. I can't say that about a lot of shows I watch.
Your favorite LJ community of the year?
Um. I don't follow very many, let alone pay attention enough to classify one as my favorite, so I'm going to pass on this one.
Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
I wouldn't call Kuroko no Basket a fandom discovery as I don't exactly consider myself a part of the fandom in a large-scale sense. Yes, I've written fic for it, but I don't post it anywhere but AO3 and link from my LJ, so …yeah. No real "fandom discoveries" here folks.
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Hmm… can I just say Shinpuri in general? While I'm glad for character development and all (see: Tezuka unlocking the last door of Muga, Sanada & Black Aura, the Sanada/Yukimura match, Echizen stealing Tezuka's glasses, more Shiraishi) I'm really annoyed with it in general. I don't really like any of the new characters besides the trio of main high schoolers and it just seems forced. I'm all for canon updates, but this shit is ridiculous.
Your fandom boyfriend/girlfriend of the year?
There are too many to choose from for I am a fandom polygamist.
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Um, probably the Shinpuri OVA #2. I was so goddamn pissed that the Shinpuri anime didn't show the Sanada/Yukimura match, so when I heard it was going to be announced for an OVA, I preordered that shit on Blu-ray then proceeded to rip it open when I got it in the mail and immediately watch it even though I have practically no Japanese listening comprehension whatsoever.
Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?
As long as preorders don't lie, it'll be my Shinpuri Yukimura figure and if I'm lucky, I'll be adding a Shiraishi figure to that as well. If I'm super super lucky, Sega will announce a new Tezuka figure and a Sanada. …MY KINGDOM FOR A SANADA FIGURE.

In other news, Thanksgiving was mostly okay (post about that later.) I'm in my last week of fall semester. I turned in a paper this morning for my least favorite class this term and I have my final essay in management due Wednesday by 8pm CST. Lastly, I have an exam and group report due Friday. If everything goes the way I want (which, by default, it won't) I'll end up with all As. More than likely, I'll end up with two Bs and an A. Not exactly the pristine graduate record I was aiming for, but as long as I don't get Cs, I'll be happy. I get about a three week break in between fall and winter 2013, which will be nice as I definitely need a break to recharge and restructure my life a little bit.
Lastly, for this mini just-so-you-know-I'm-alive post, I've been getting in touch with my feminine side lately and have spent some of my disposable income on the good makeup. Sephora, I love you. I've also expanded my nail polish collection a bit further. I think I have over 150 by now. I need a better storage system for all my girly stuff. I'll figure out stuff during my break.
