(no subject)
I've been "nesting" latley, or so a co worker of mine has told me, I've been keeping my house super clean, and baking/making meals from scratch alot latley. I had mentioned this to one of the girls I work with at the hotel, and she went into this long rant about how now that I'm married, I'm starting my "nest" for babies. I don't look at it that way, to me it means "i like to have a clean house and enjoy cooking!" I wasn't able to do those things before, because I've been working shit hours and that can make things hard!.
In other happy news, I had a surprise job interview yesterday. Cheryl, a friend of mine from Kinettes, mentioned my name for a receptionist/bookeeping position at a TV store and repair centre. It's straight days, the wage is making me super happy, $11-$16 per hour, depends on what they feel like. The only thing I know that will cause me some concern is the fact that they use Quickbooks. I have used it before, and from what I remember, it's super easy, it's just been so long since I've had to do any accounting at all, that wasn't "put this number into this spreadsheet and print it" so I'm kind of freaking out a little bit. I did mention this to Ray (the guy who interviewed me) and he said that would be no problem, they have a woman who previously worked there, retired due to age/becoming a grandma. And she comes in to train the new girl, and also phones you on a weekly basis to make sure you're doing ok. That relieved some of my concerns.....so I should hear back from them next week, but I have a super good feeling because I allready know where to park, when my lunch will be and when I'll get holidays.
