clarity, occasionally referred to as a large trout

Ouch. My head aches. Not because I have been slapped with a large trout. Oh no. The impact of that is a good few days old.

My head aches due to a combination of cold, hayfever and cough, whose other symptoms include muscle pain, lethargy and a disturbing ability to listen to awful music on MTV because I'm too lazy to reach for the remote.

So... This slightly overdue update...

A week ago Saturday, the evening was the school disco themed party. Before I left the house, my dad took one look at me and said "slut" which, given my outfit, probably wasn't all that unjustified. He said to mazuhisto (who had come over to get ready and would be staying over afterwards) "not so much of a slut, but a bit leggy". To midnitevulture I believe he was quite civil, though he asked Tom P if Rhi's skirt was one of his. Rudeness is perhaps my father's forte. The party itself was pretty cool - I had 4 drinks but for some reason felt totally sober. I may be no lightweight but I usually feel it a little after 4. I bought tequilas for Hols' sister and cousins (underage drinking... and I encouraged it! Slap my hand 'cause I'm so bad!) Evil evil boy tried it on with Hols' cousin Kate, but fortunately she was wise enough to resist his advances and appeared disgusted by them. I took a few photos, but still didn't manage to finish my roll of film. Damnit! My dancing grinding with Tom P brought about suggestions that we might become a couple. To the extent that Wodger kept coming over to ask me if I'd "got lucky yet?" To which I replied simply "Err... No." As that was never on the cards. I ground *queries whether grinding can be made into a verb and given that ugly sounding past participle* with John also, which was fun. After, mazuhisto, midnitevulture, Nat and myself returned to mykeysan's house for some post-party drinks, but being too tired for more alcool, I sat sipping a large glass of milk. Mmmmm... milk. Then Rhi and I wandered up the road to mine, where we ate strawberries before going to bed.

Next morning, rose early to visit the V&A, for the Art Deco Exhibition which was fantastique. I want the bed, and the coat, and many other items in it! And everyone should go see it as soon as they possibly can!!!
We ate lunch in a gorgeous Thai restaurant nearby. But I was so tired. So very tired.

A week of not quite attempting to work - wednesday for example, consisted of shopping with Esther, meeting my mother in town to buy necessities for this summer's family holiday (to Vietnam, Thailand and Bali), going to a local fayre, then to my Roch's BBQ chez-elle. Drank a fair bit of rum punch there, and when that ran out Sara, Shrek, Jin, myself and some others attempted to concoct a punch made with cider and various juices. T'was interesting, to say the least. Caught up with school people, and chatted to Graham about meeting up with him and Mihir, Mike etc in Prague when we're both there in summer. Played Twister and got caught on camera (again) in an interesting position on the board.

Saturday evening spent with midnitevulture and Greg, at a very civilised establishment called The Castle, up on a hill. They drank, I drove. We ended up in a disgusting chippie in the town centre. If I didn't already loathe fast food that would've been enough to put me off it for life! Greg and Joe fed me chips on a bench. I felt so very ill. I couldn't breathe for hayfever and was so glad to get home, though I love both their company.

Last night I went out with Leon. Up the Hill to Cafe Cafe. Mmmm... Cosmopolitan. Yummy... It was fun, and he's really lovely and easy to chat to. Joe sent me a text today asking me if Leon's as cute in the flesh as he is in his texts, lol, as he had been looking in my inbox the night before.

Seems circular - Stereophonics were playing on Q when I logged in. Now they are playing again on Q. An apt time to end this post, I believe.

All I thought I had to do was smile.
