Dear Yuletide Writer 2011 (And anyone else who reads this!)
Hello writer, I am hoping you have enjoyed your Yuletide experience so far, I know I have! As I say every year that I do this, don't worry, I have faith that you can write a story that I will enjoy and love. And if any of my prompts and suggestions seem to stifle you then please take them with a grain of salt. I tried to not be too specific in what I want, but I guess here are some guidelines for what I really love about fic, and things I love about the fandoms and characters I requested!
Ok on a general note here are a few things I do and don't seek out of fiction:
1. I am very much one of those fans who is very involved and interested in female characters, both on their own and with each other. If you are to able to write a fic that incorporates and explores relationships between women then I will pretty much love you for it. I seek out relationships between women in my fiction so it is definitely a big plus! It is also for this reason that I tend to not be that into m/m slash and tend to veer more towards the het and femslash sides of fandom.
2. I love fics that incorporate the setting and set a distinct tone, as well as those that explore characters and their relationships with each other. I like a good plot, but the exploration of relationships between characters is a big huge thing for me.
3. I tend to prefer established relationship fics to get together fics. I like the exploration of relationships after they form and how people grow and navigate life together.
4. I tend to really dislike excessive angst. While I can deal with it if the situation is called for it, I ask that you try to avoid angst and hurt/comfort type stuff as much as possible.
5. The one huge turn off for me is any kind of rape, dubcon, and anything that deals with that. I just can't really take it in any capacity.

And now on to the actual requests! The fandoms I requested are Capital Scandal, City Hunter, Aliens (1986), and V (2009). (Some spoilers may be in the request details, but I try to be as vague as I can be but I make no guarantees.)
Also I kind of got carried away and added pictures because I could! So hope you enjoy them.
Capital Scandal
Characters: Seon Woo Wan, Na Yeo Kyeong, Cha Song Joo, Lee Soo Hyeon
Request: I don't necessarily need or require you to include every one of the characters in your story, but I would love all sorts of different things such as Woo Wan/Yeo Kyeong cuteness working in Manchuria together (being marrieds if you are so inclined), or if you want to write an AU where Cha Song Joo makes it I would totally adore a huge double date or anything about Cha Song Joo and Woo Wan's friendship or Cha Song Joo and Yeo Kyeong being lady friends. Or really any story you are inclined to tell about any of these characters.
Additional Comments: I loved a lot about Capital Scandal, the setting, the plot, and yes even the ridiculous clothes, but these four characters are at the heart of it and how they form this quadrant of amazingness is something that I would love to see explored. I would love anything post-series about Woo Wan and Yeo Kyeong and their life as revolutionaries. I am completely okay with you incorporating any of the side characters, such as Woo Wan's parents, the whole gang, Miyuki. Basically write me anything in this fandom, I just want at least two or three of the requested characters to be involved. Also Cha Song Joo is amazing, so you have my full permission to alter the ending if you want to.
City Hunter (TV)
Characters: Lee Yoon-sung, Kim Na-Na, Kim Young-ju, Jin Se-hee
Request: Anything with Na-Na and Yoon-sung postseries would be great, whether it is them actually being in a relationship with each other and trying to navigate that, or maybe they do sparring sessions with each other or doing missions and jobs. Seeing them being a couple and a fully realized team would be great. Or I would also be interested in Se-hee and Young-ju's history, how did that relationship happen, I mean we know they break up but what were they like when they first met each other, and how does that work through the years.
Additional Comments: So City Hunter gives me all the feelings, like seriously it does. I love the blend of action and suspense and romance and drama and its lighter moments as well! I tried to tone it down in the optional details but Kim Nana/Lee Yoon-sung is really my OTP so I rather them not be broken up or put with other people if you are doing gen. Of course if you want to do something shippy I would love anything with them working with each other. If you want go the Jin Se-hee/Kim Young-Ju route I would love to see the early days of their dating life and their married life, and possibly how they maintain contact after divorce. But despite their divorce, I would hope that you keep it at the very least peaceful. I don't want like Kim Young-ju angsting over his failed marriage. Of course if you also want to do an AU where Kim Young-ju's fate is different I would love fic about them finally working it out and starting over with each other. The only thing I don't really want is the father angst about the end, like if you want to have Yoon-sung deal with it in some capacity you can, but I rather that not be the driving force of the fic. Also any involvement with Ahjusshi and Kyung-Hee and any of the Blue House People and Da Hye would be great too. Outside of THE FIVE and Jin-Pyo I love everyone in this bar.
Aliens 1986
Characters: Ellen Ripley, Rebecca "Newt" Jorden
Request: I would love any story that ignores the existence of the events of Alien 3 and explores how Ripley and Newt deal with the aftermath of what happened at the end of the movie. Inclusion of Hicks and Bishop would be a plus but is not required.
Additonal Comments: This was a last minute swap out so that is why it probably is the least detailed of all of them. But honestly when it comes to these two I would take any fic about them that actually respects what they went through. (Alien 3 just makes me angry all over just thinking about it). I do somewhat ship Ripley and Hicks, so a story about them as a "family" would be nice, but I really want the focus to be on Ripley or Newt. Or if you are able to work this in or if you want to do a fic on its own, I am incredibly interested in how Newt survived on her own before Ripley and the marines arrived, so basically how the colony collapse happened between when Newt's father got facehugged and when Ripley arrived would be interesting.
V (2009)
Characters: Lisa, Joshua
Request: Anything about Lisa and Joshua and their relationship with each other would be amazing, whether it is shippy or not. I just really would love more insight into V Culture and how these characters deal with the aftermath of the second season. Whether you want to deal with Lisa being imprisoned or them going on the run, whatever is fine. Or if you want to do something with Lisa as queen and Ryan and Joshua as her lieutenants that would be awesome too. But really anything dealing with the fifth column Vs (but Lisa and Joshua in particular) would be amazing.
Additional Comments: So I have a lot of feelings about V, and there are parts of it that I really want to be explored, but most of them stem around the Visitors who have betrayed Anna and Visitor culture in general! So with that said, any fic that deals with what the actual experience of having emotions is like for Lisa and Joshua is a huge thing for me. I would of course be happy seeing any number of side characters come into play such as Erica, Jack, Anna, Ryan although I am not that into either Tyler or Hobbes so I would hope for their presence to be minimal. I would also love if you want to a fic that AUs the end of S2 where Ryan lives and we see Ryan work with Joshua and Lisa as Visitors and dealing with what that means for their species. But again that or anything suggested in the details or any story that you want to do with these characters would be fine for me.

On a side note, I want to just say that I am very sad that this is the first year that I did not request for an anime and manga fandom. It feels a bit strange for me, but I guess we all can move on to different things!
