I haven't been up this early since high school...
I was up at 6:00 am in order to walk with our fantabulous president, Timmy J. (Timothy J. Sullivan to be precise). Met with M3E at 6:25 and we walked over to the front of the president's house. Unfortunately our group of seven got there right as t-shirt coupon 45 was being handed...so only four of our group actually got one. (I feel so guilty!!!)
It's strange, I hate getting up so incredibly early, but once I'm up it's quite nice to be up for the sunrise. Campus was so empty and so fresh-looking in the rising sun and the sky was sprinkled with the perfect amount of fluffy clouds. Why are sunrises and sunsets so beautiful? What is our fascination with them? Although I have to admit that this one, although pretty, was not as impressive as those in Kansas. In Kansas you have the entire sky to work with...here you only have about half of it.
So, the walk with Timmy J. was...long. But it was fun too, we traversed most of campus and then ended at the Daily Grind for free coffee and tea (and to pick up our free t-shirts). I got a picture with Timmy J. and I got him to sign my t-shirt!!!! HuzzAH for me! (It's somewhat strange when a university president has as much popularity as a famous author or rock star :-p) Pictures will come as soon as I can figure out how to insert them...
Well, time for breakfast, then orgo, then nap!
