I found that PBS has the entire miniseries of Nova's "The Elegant Universe" (hosted by string theorist Brian Greene) online. From rewatching it I have made the discovery that the sound effect they use for the strings is the same sound effect that the toaster cylons in Battlestar Galactica make when they do their eye-scans.

I believe Geekdom has officially reached new heights.
