Yesterday, I was reading an interview of a 25 yrs old Snapchat CEO and Co-founder, Evan Spiegel, who is now worth 1.5 Billion$.
He talked about how badly his first website failed, ''I originally created a website called Future Freshman but it completely failed. It was designed to help people choose what college they wanted to go to, but no one used it, not even my brother''. After they launch Snapchat, nobody used the service for the first six months! The company now employs 450 people. His said his strength lies in being OK with uncertainity. This shows that its ok to fail at first attempt and its ok if things don't take off rapidly as planned.
I dream of the day Atom Connect reach new heights and all the efforts of my baby pays off! Go AC, go!
I have also read a very intersting article of how big in demand rock-star coders are. Bae have told me once that as long as there is internet connection, he can work from anywhere. After reading this very insightful article, I'm even more convinced. Very informative for an outsider like me to get a peek into how these elite head hunters of Silicon valley rolls. A good read for people contemplating freelancing in the future. Also talked about how much IT companies are profiting per engineers and that is why a good agent can negotiate and up your per hour pay immensely. So in case AC fails to deliver ( which it won't), the sky is still the limit for 'em experienced coders. If this is not a win-win situation, I dont know what is!! :-)
