Seven Months!
Good grief! It's taken me too long to update this thing... although, I think most of my friends on here don't actually use lj anymore. But, it's a perfect place to catch up on my jetsetting dear Lauren as she thrives in her new home of Finland. :) So, it's worth it.
Update... I no longer work for Beverly or at Kumon (although the latter might change - who knows). I now am the Youth Minister at my home parish of over 12 years - St. Jude... and I am also working for the Diocese of Palm Beach as an Assistant Campus Minister. So, I am visiting and working with FAU, Lynn, PBA, and FAU Honors - as well as working with the Young Adult Ministries on a Diocesan Level.
I'm keeping pretty busy, I suppose. I am single again, but it's for the best that I am no longer dating Rudy. He's an ok guy, and definitely not the right one for me... but, to be honest... it's really hard to be single again during this time of year. I'm Tivo-ing all the corny Christmas movies on TV and waiting to get "This Christmas" on DVD. I swear I might be borderline masochistic. jk
I am blessed to be attending four weddings in the next four months, which is another blessing that I'll be praying through. I'm honored to have been invited to all of them, and thankful that God has brought these couples together.
I'm been learning a lot these last few months... first off, my problem with self-esteem is way more severe than I thought. I'm really trying to work on that... especially now, when I feel alone more of the time than not. I'm not thrilled with my jobs (St. Jude is a thankless job that isn't even really job, more of a volunteer position... and the Diocesan job feels empty and meaningless), so that's adding to my dissatisfaction with the direction my life is going in. I want change... I want something different. But, if you were to ask me what it is that I want to do with my life... I wouldn't know what to tell you.
That's what I'll be working on in the coming weeks/months... lots of lists are in my future... I can feel it. hee hee.
