A waste of a post

A quick glance around this space reveals that guys typically use 'male' pictures as usericons. At most, they may use a neutral picture of art or a comical character (who again is likely to be masculine), but never really a 'female' face. Girls on the other hand, don't mind flaunting their favourite heroes / characters, irrespective of gender. Is this is purely coincidental? Or:

* Guys subconsciously avoid feminine tags, while girls don't mind such misrepresentations. Isn't it cool to be a tomboy anyway?

* Girls are more cautious (than guys) of revealing their gender in public forums and hence seek solace in a 'mixed' set or male identities? (Though I must add here, that most girls on my f-list have unmistakable 'girl' usernames, so this does not necessarily apply to them).

* Guys are simply not big on the whole fandom thing. (And those who are, couldn't possibly exhibit their eye-candy in public! ;))

* Guys are simply not big on the whole userpic thing! (But hey, you do spend time digging for the perfect picture, don't you?)

Or

maybe its just me. or this day. or this office. or this weather. but mostly its that lizzie in my closet making weird noises at night and not letting me sleep. *YAWN*

guys, lizard, gender, userpics, sleep, girls
