Sports PS in coma after surgery

Sports and Youth Affairs PS Kinuthia Murugu is still admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Nairobi Hospital.
A source said the PS had suffered internal bleeding and was in a coma after undergoing surgery.
But family members said the PS was "responding well to medication", adding he could be out of ICU soon.
Efforts to get information from his doctor were fruitless as his phone was switched off, while the hospital management denied us entry to see the PS. The source said Murugu was responding well to medication.
Gangsters confronted the PS and shot him in Nairobi’s Hurlingham Estate as he drove to Lavington at about 3am on June 19.
Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of Central Bank Hezron Nyangito is responding well to treatment in a hospital in Birmingham, England, where he was admitted more than three months ago.
Dr Nyangito had travelled there for treatment for an aching back when he suffered a stroke.
CBK officials said he is responding well to treatment, a member of his family said on Sunday.
A number of Nyangito’s family members have been to the UK to visit him, one of them told The Standard.
Pay bills
Nyangito was transferred to CBK and named the Deputy Governor to replace Jacinta Mwatela last September.
Prior to his appointment as Deputy Governor, Nyangito was PS Ministry of Health from 2005.
Nyangito held various positions at the Kenya Institute of Public Policy, Research and Analysis from 1999 to 2003 before he became Executive Director in 2004 responsible for overall administration of economic policy analysis and research programs at the Institute.
And former Butere MP Martin Shikuku was discharged from a hospital in Cambridge, England where he underwent a surgery.
Shikuku is still at the Cambridge University where he is writing his memoirs. Kenyan High Commission in UK has been helping pay the bills for the two.

When googling him I found the cutest picture of him in his Scout uniform. =(((( I hope it all works out. They already have someone working in his place or the time being, though.
