Counting my blessings but I ran out of fingers and toes...
I attended a retirement party last night for myself and three friends from school. Wow. I've always hated being the center of attention, but I've gotta tell you -- I can't remember many lovelier evenings in my life! The people I've worked with for the past 25 years, many of them retired now, made me feel like a queen. They are so kind, so thoughtful...three of us retirees even performed our version of "Try to Remember!" It was awful, but we laughed, we cried, we hugged, and I feel completely loved :) All my kids were there, and it's a treat to have all of us in the same room. My co-workers know my kids (and got to meet the newest addition, Bryant's wonderful wife Patti) since I work in the school they attended. Wow. Just wow.
