Ben returned to the room from his afternoon salle training, dropped off dinner, and headed immediately to the shower.

He returned to two dozen messages on his comlink.

"Sithspit," he groaned as he read. "Who's in charge now?"

He should probably change out of a towel soon...

By the time Ender got back to the room, there was no sign left that he'd spent the afternoon coordinating damage control in the middle of a coup. His hair was a little mussed from the wind, sure, but otherwise, he looked calm and composed as always.

"Ho," he said, shutting the door behind him as he came in.

Hi, Ben in a towel.

"Ho," Ben replied. "Heard from Wynn lately?"

"I think he's been busy," Ender said smoothly. "Why?"

Ben flopped his damp head back on a pillow. "Because he seems to be running the GA now," he said, pressing another pillow over his face.

"With Saba."

Thus the face-smushing.

"Pants are good," Topher commented from the hallway.

It was true. Ben should really get some.

"Pants are a repressive tool of the patriarchy," Ben declared.

"What are towels, then?" asked Topher.

"What keeps the entire floor from getting a good look at my ass when I come back from the shower," Ben replied with a laugh.

Ben glanced over. "Towels are the new trend. Ask anyone."

"In space?" Space hardly counted.

"If you wear things that are too confining in space you'll explode."
