We're in the midst of summer and it's been hot and humid, but thankfully we did not lose power like the mid Atlantic.
Bing cherries are my favorite fruit and they are in season now..and on sale for $1.99 a lb!!!
I'm just scoffing them down like a little piglet!!
Since my gastric by-pass, I find ground buffalo easier to digest than beef. Today hubby and I
took a 1 1/2 hr drive to MA north of Sturbridge to a buffalo farm/store that I found online.
Was all set to buy buffalo steaks, hotdogs, sausage, roast and ground meat. We got there way out in the county and found a sign next to the farm house in a tiny store window..."We have decided to retire and our last day will be July24, 2011" I rang the doorbell and a lovely young woman said they closed last July!!!. She stated their website was still up and still couldn't delete it.
Oh well, it was a nice drive and when I returned I found another farm closer to home 1 hr away in Connecticut no less. I will call to make sure they are still there and will try them some coll Sunday soon.
