I was able to work from home because under all this snow is 1 to 2 inches of ice. Hopefully the freeze tonight will help with traction tomorrow morning.

Hey, snow! Kinda pretty to someone living in The Colony where most can't identify snow. Do not send snow our way--oh, yeah--you're getting our stuff, aren't you. :) Sorry 'bout that.

We're at 26 right now but only ice. No school yesterday. Guess it's time to pull out the parka, assuming there are classes today. Bet our Texans can out-complain your Kentuckians about this cold weather.

I was glad you remembered where my 'joy' came from. I was think of you a LOT yesterday. ;-) I was able to get out this morning and traveling was good once I got to the main roads.

Conversations here start with "Glad to see you made it in. Do you have power?" After that there are usually comparisons of the number of trees down in neighborhoods, number of cars off the road or how much longer it took to get to work. Luckily I haven't lost power and the trees in my neighborhood are too small to cause trouble.

Ugh, ice. See, ice is my issue with winter. Snow - meh. Take it or leave it, though it sure can get ugly-looking after a while. But ice is scary. (Especially since I've been away from it for so long, don't remember so much how to drive it!)

cold is an issue too. you'd think someone who skates would like cold, but no, i don't.

Ice is my issue also. I've never figured out why some people seem to enjoy putting on boots with blades on the soles, go out in a freezing rink to race, spin and jump around on the stuff. But when I watch them do exactly that I totally admire them. ;-)
Today (Sat.) and tomorrow (Sun.) we're supposed to get above freezing (37 today, 47 tomorrow) so no more ice or snow until the next front comes in Monday. sigh
But with the sunshine out, the trees were absolutely beautiful - the icicles looked like diamonds draped over the branches. The road signs had fringes of icicles, looked like the fringe on a dance skirt. :)
