geez..when did LJ get all fancy schmancy?
what do all these buttons and links do?
instant message posting? wtf? whatever happened to writing your sh*t on notepad, and then cutting and pasting?
anyway. did i tell you that im actually a little bit offended by the fact that barry bonds got voted onto the all-star team? of course i didn't. i haven't told you anything for like...forever.
im still alive tho....and life goes on.
so some friends and i have this great idea. what if you went to a restaurant and they had great food and a great atmosphere...more than just atmosphere..what if it was a community of sorts? the type of place where everybody knows your name...where regulars hang out, reading the paper, talking about the dodgers...or figuring out how to change the world. maybe people even chip in and do the dishes every now and then. food would be fresh and sustainably grown---and local. and GOOD. service would come with a smile.
maybe the kitchen would be a job training site for homeless folks who are trying to learn a trade.
oh yeah, and the food wouldn't have a price. not that it'd be free...but you could just pay whatever you felt it was worth. nothing more...nothing less.
