It was a gray day, a dull, boring and colourless day. One of these days that would soon be forgotten, just because of their meaninglessness.
Tegoshi was having just a day like that, at the very moment sitting in front of the television, zapping between channels in an attempt to find something worth watching more than ten seconds of. The sound of the television was slightly deafened by the sound of raindrops falling outside the window, the sight of the grey cloud covering the usually clear blue sky making him even more down.
Yes, it was one of those days, when Tegoshi was quite gloomy, not for a real reason, not one he could figure anyway, but because of something. Something he couldn’t put his finger on or explain. Everything seemed to have taken the same dull colour as the sky outside, grey and depressing. Not even the soccer-match he had recorded weeks ago and now finally had been able to watch had removed that gloomy feeling; and that was saying quite a lot about Tegoshi’s current situation since soccer was his great passion in life.
It was one of these days that seemed to never end, but Tegoshi just wanted this worthless day to end so, hopefully, a better one could come. He closed his eyes, hearing the sound of the clock mixing with the raindrops and the television. It was somehow tiring, just to wait for time to pass, just to wait for this day to be replaced by a new one.
Suddenly, the sound of the rain and the television was joined by another one; a door opening with a creak, soon followed by soft footsteps. After a short moment, Tegoshi felt a pair of arms wrap around his shoulders, strong, familiar arms. He didn’t open his eyes; he just leaned his head backwards, his cheeks brushing against the soft skin that only could belong to Masuda. The hold around his shoulders disappeared for a moment before he felt his boyfriend sit down beside him on the sofa, wrapping and arm around him and kissing his hair. Tegoshi sighed happily and snuggled closer, leaning his head on Masuda’s broad shoulder, inhaling his sweet smell. Just the mere presence of his lover seemed to make his heart lighter, and a smile spread across his face.
Suddenly, the world didn’t feel so grey and dull anymore.
