What's wrong with the OS X version of NetHack? I have terminal builds going under Snow Leopard, if you're into that.

Oooh, maybe I never tried doing it in the terminal. I've been trying to get it to work in windowed mode all this time, and my settings never seemed to take.

(I'm a bit more Unix-retarded than I realize.)

I forgot to update!

Homebrew wouldn't install because I already had Fink installed. (As a result of version 0.5.1 being extremely unfriendly.)

So I used Fink to download Nethack.

And I haven't figured out how yet to get it to work in full-colour ASCII/ANSI/whatever graphics. Or how to choose my character's name so that it isn't my username.

OK, so Windows is sometimes way better than Unix ;)
