It has been a bad week of falls for my family.
My husband took a new medication and got the ubiquitously warned for dizziness plus very low blood pressure. He struck his head going down and had an altered level of consciousness so I called 911. He normalized over the next 18 hours as his blood pressure came back up and has been fine ever since. Which is good because ...
... Next my mom fell and broke her hip. In her case she has no notion why she fell. She just woke up on the floor. She had same day surgery and is now post op 24 hours. She is doing remarkably well for an elderly lady and I hope that continues. My brother, SIL and I are alternating days (and nights) at the hospital with her. We are expecting her to go to the rehabilitation unit on Monday and to be there for 2 weeks.
I'm grateful she is doing as well as she is and that my husband's problem was easily solved. I'm also grateful for hospitals with wifi.
