I don't know if it's the culture here where I live, but there are a lot of depressed people out there. I think like 80% of the adult patients I saw in outside-hospital clinics were diagnosed with anxiety and/or depression and the majority of them are on some sort of antidepressant medication.
There are a lot of unhappy people in this world.
Sickness of the mind is a difficult thing to cure.
