...and that's theme song for the weather in Dallas since last night. I was teaching basket-weaving last night at Twilight Camp and the next time I look up, all of the younger campers were coming into the building. (Crafts was in the town hall, the size of a small house.) The storm hit about ten minutes later so it was a good thing that the adult leaders had taken charge. Everyone stayed relatively calm while frantic parents turned up to pick up kids. Two of the port-a-potties blew over and they lost a couple of canopies but hopefully Samuell Farm has survived the night. Since there's more rain in the forecast, we're planning to switch locations to a local school gym for today.
Ryan and I returned home last night to discover that Patrick had somehow gotten out of the backyard. Why he feels he has to do that when he's so terrified of storms, we have no idea. If the rain ever lets up, we have to go out and figure out how he did it. Vixen was still in the yard so wherever he got out, it was too small for her to fit through.
Oh-kay, another big lightning strike near here.... I'm off!
