Last night I lost two hours of drawing time but that's okay. I gained two hours of listening to my boys play at a pre-UIL concert. They both have band contests coming up in April so music teachers had the big idea to get them ready by having a dress rehearsal of sorts. This will be the first time for both of them to go to UIL. Since Paul lost so much weight and shot up, he looks AMAZING in his tux. (Yes, I know, it sounds strange for me to say that but it's true.) Ryan really surprised me though -- he said in an offhand way that he was playing the first trumpet line. What he didn't mention was that he had a SOLO!! I was so pleased that I almost cheered but knew he'd be mortified if I did.

I let myself have a squee though.
